We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we'll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
We don't share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.
We act in the capacity of a data controller and a data processor with regard to the personal data processed through Social Stack and the services in terms of the applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
When someone visits a Social Stack profile, we record the visit so that the owner of that profile can see how their page performs: how many people came, which blocks they saw, and which links they clicked. This is the only automatic collection on the site.
We set no cookie and store nothing on your device for this purpose. We do not store IP addresses. To count distinct visitors within a single day, we derive a one-way fingerprint from your IP address, your browser identification and a secret that changes every day. That fingerprint cannot be reversed, it cannot follow you from one day to the next, and it differs from one profile to another. Individual events are deleted after ninety days; only daily totals are kept beyond that.
Profile owners see aggregated numbers about their own page only. No one, including us, can use these statistics to identify an individual visitor.
